Data Processing Specialist

Our client is a leading provider of IT consulting services to government agencies, specializing in data management and analysis solutions. They are seeking a skilled Data Processing Specialist to join their team in Washington, DC, to support critical government projects. Location: Hybrid 3 days in Washington, DC. Rate: $40 - $45 an hour W2. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a W2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Key Responsibilities

Use custom software to parse and normalize bank statement data. Create templates for new types of bank statements. Develop alternative data parsing methods when necessary. Write and troubleshoot MS Access queries and resolve database issues. Automate tasks using scripting for PDF manipulation, file merging, etc. Generate reports using Power BI with a SQL Server backend.

Key Technical Skills

Data parsing and normalization. MS Access and Power BI with SQL Server. Scripting in PowerShell, Python, or similar languages. High-level Microsoft Excel (including Macros). Familiarity with regular expressions. Experience with BankScan software or similar tools. Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).

Experience Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related scientific or technical discipline. Alternatively, 5 years of specialized experience with no degree required.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred. Active Top-Secret Clearance required.

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range. W2 employees of Eliassen Group who are regularly scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week are eligible for the following benefits: medical (choice of 3 plans), dental, vision, pre-tax accounts, other voluntary benefits including life and disability insurance, 401(k) with match, and sick time if required by law in the worked-in state/locality.
