The STEPS Office Assistant position will support the faculty, staff, students, and visitors of the Institute for Sustainable Manufacturing (College of Engineering) by assisting as needed with day to day activities of the department. The main responsibility of the STEPS Office Assistant will be: placing orders for materials and supplies, following up on payments, receiving packages/documents. Other duties include but are not limited to: tracking/receiving/distributing packages and mail, electronic and physical document management, monitoring/maintaining office equipment/general supplies, managing/maintaining conference room, helping plan/prepare for meetings, site visits, and events, preparing Concur expense reports, submitting general workorders and help tickets. Skills/knowledge/abilities include: proficiency with MS Office suite (Outlook email/calendars, Excel, OneDrive), and Adobe Acrobat (creating, editing pdfs). Familiarity/experience with Concur, SAP, and UK purchasing and/or payroll policy and procedures is preferred. Ability to effectively manage multiple concurrent requests and priorities.
