The Business Taxes and Discovery and Income Tax and Education Divisions are looking for individuals who need minimal supervision to fill their Tax Examiner position. You will play an integral role in USTC's mission to administer tax laws. You must be current on your state and federal tax filings and pass a criminal background check. Job Duties. Tax Examiners will perform complex audits, audits of state tax returns to determine compliance with Utah tax laws and rules. Tax Examiners duties will include:interpreting tax laws, rules and policiesensuring compliance with sales, income, and corporate tax regulationsevaluating and reviewing business reports, tax files and previous auditsscheduling and conducting audits with taxpayersauditing taxpayer recordsinterviewing taxpayerspreparing audit reportsproviding training answering tax professionals questions as a part of a contact centerparticipate...Examiner, Tax, Tax Professional, Audit, Accounting
