Under limited supervision, the Sr Tax Accountant supports our branches by assisting withtax compliance in the areas of sales tax, property tax, and business licensing. May mentorlower level employees. JOB DUTIES - Analyzes sales tax data, and prepares state and local sales and use tax returns. - Prepares property tax returns. Processes assessment notices and property tax invoices. - Prepares business licenses and processes related payments. - Assists with the preparation of federal and state income tax returns. Analyzes andmaintains accruals for tax accounts. - Analyzes tax problems and provides instructions to branch personnel on the applicationof related tax laws. - Coordinates all areas of the sales and income tax audit process for those audits assignedby management. Assists with general accounting work or special projects as assigned bymanagement. - Performs other duties as assigned.
