W&W Dairy Inc. located in Monroe, WI is hiring a production worker. W&W Dairy is a demanding, fast paced cheese processing facility.
The person hired for this position will be trained to perform all of the different jobs in our Production Department. Job assignments will include operating a variety cheese packaging and processing equipment.
This position will work a variety of different shifts and shift and job assignments may change frequently, often changing every week.
Role and Responsibilities
- Operating machinery and equipment including but not limited to filling and packaging machines, augers grinding equipment etc.
- Reading, understanding, and following standard operating procedures.
- Operating a forklift as required of a job assignment.
- Maintaining communication with supervisors, management, and other employees and notifying them of any problems and/or concerns that may affect production.
- Ensuring that all required paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible, and accurate manner and completed with all required information.
- Ensuring that all work is completed and documented in accordance with SOP's.
- Utilizing a continuous improvement mindset and assisting in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
- Following Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe work area.
- Following all required safe work practices, including but not limited to lockout-tagout, confined space safety, chemical handling, and electrical safety.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Required:
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- 3 or more years of experience working in a food manufacturing plant preferred.
- Forklift operating experience is preferred.
- Candidates must possess solid mechanical skills and the ability to understand, operate, and troubleshoot production equipment.
- Must be able and willing to work all shifts and overtime, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Must be able and willing to work in a wet environment with moderate to high noise volume.
- Must be able and willing to effectively work in a team environment.
- Must have effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check
