Job DescriptionPart-Time Grounds Worker - TemporaryDo you want to be a part of making BYU campus beautiful? The Grounds Maintenance Part-Time Worker will perform a variety of gardening duties, including planting, weeding, mowing, edging, litter clean-up, etc. for the assigned area. They will also assist their supervisor in various tasks including snow removal during the winter season.
What you'll do in this position: Landscape Maintenance - Turf Maintenance: Edge sidewalks and curbs, string trim, mow, clean grass clippings, report pests/disease, aerate, sod, and topdress.
- Tree & Shrub Maintenance: Remove leaves/weeds, apply mulch, prune ground covers, identify pests/diseases, help coordinate pruning and chemical applications.
- Flower Care: Help supervisor design, plant, water, weed, deadhead flowers, identify pests/diseases, coordinate chemical applications.
- Sprinkler Head Maintenance: Help supervisor inspect, repair, adjust, and replace damaged heads; report valve/line issues
- Equipment Care: Help supervisor perform regular maintenance on all equipment.
Snow Removal - Available 24/7 during the season for snow removal and communication to ensure campus safety
- Work with other snow removal teams to ensure efficient operations.

- Ability to stand or crouch in a variety of positions, operating on one's feet for an extended period of time to perform various labor tasks

- Strong communication skills for client or team interaction
