Job Description :

The Customer Service Specialist plays a crucial role in assisting both wholesale and retail customers. You will identify customer needs, provide answers to questions regarding Sherwin-Williams products, and recommend appropriate solutions. Our specialists are dedicated to addressing customer concerns swiftly, ensuring optimal satisfaction, and helping the store achieve sales targets.

As part of this role, you may interact with a diverse customer base, including minors, and have access to sensitive information and payment methods. This position requires a background check to ensure the safety and security of our customers and operations.

You will be expected to work at various locations including Stores #1485, 851 E. Ridge Rd. Rochester, 1678 - 4400 Dewey Ave Rochester, 1054 - 2200 Penfield Rd. Penfield, and 1443 - 7387 Pittsford-Victor, with possible assignments at other stores within a 30-mile radius.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Assist customers both in-person and over the phone, determining their needs and recommending suitable products and services.
  • Build trusting relationships with customers to encourage loyalty.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and in accordance with company policies.
  • Achieve sales goals consistently on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
  • Maintain accurate work order files and formulas.
  • Pull products from the sales floor or warehouse and mix them as needed.
  • Stock shelves and set up displays to maintain store aesthetics.
  • Clean store equipment and assist with deliveries as needed.
  • Ensure assigned areas are well-stocked and visually appealing.
  • Stay informed about product offerings and provide guidance to customers.
  • Comply with inventory control standards and suggest sales improvement strategies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Legal authorization to work in the country.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in both English and Spanish.
  • Possession of a valid and unrestricted Driver's License.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently and 70 lbs occasionally.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • At least one year of experience in retail or customer service.
  • Experience in selling paint and related products.
  • Familiarity with tinting and mixing equipment.
