When you join us as an IT PACS Support Specialist, you will be joining a dedicated team of professionals who deliver quality, value, and access in the 21st century and align all stakeholders- patients, providers, payors, and regulators to achieve the best clinical outcomes. You Will:

  • Maintain the RadNet PACS system which includes troubleshooting PACS Linux software.
  • Communicate frequently with local leadership to have an understanding of ongoing and future projects to ensure that the PACS team is prepared to assist when needed.
  • Interact with IT Field Support Specialists, Director of IT Operations, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in other IT teams such as Clinical Applications, IS Admins, Service Desk, and Infrastructure to resolve user issues and further develop an understanding of systems, applications, and workflows.
  • Collaborate with RadNet Clinical Applications Specialist to assess them in supporting RadNet Clinical Applications software.
  • Analyze infrastructure, monitor its performance, and recommend improvements or changes as appropriate.
  • Manage multiple issues and/or projects with short timelines at the same time while maintaining the ability to effectively identify, communicate and resolve problems.
  • Visit sites and offices to check in with the managers, team members, and all other users to find new and resolve active issues.
  • Evaluate existing systems and/or user/business needs to analyze, design, recommend and implement system updates and/or changes.
  • Assist with installation, relocation, configuration, troubleshooting, and ongoing usability of PACS hardware and software.
  • Monitor, provide assistance with, and resolution to all issues, service tickets, and projects in given areas. Enter, monitor, and complete all entries in the Support Desk tracking system, which includes stating the issue(s), listing all troubleshooting steps, providing a resolution, and marking the records as complete.
  • Provide end-user support with application functionality and escalate issues as needed.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as requested and/or needed.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have:
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a related technical field and/or a minimum of five (5) year of IT Support work experience.
  • Commensurate experience and two or more years PACS experience (planning, installation, and support roles)
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, mission critical environment.
  • Knowledge of PACS system, DICOM protocol and TCP/IP protocol is essential.
  • Training and working experience in the application of PACS technology in areas of health sciences, allied health, health care operations and/or radiology based operations such as MR, CT, Nuclear Medicine, PET/CT are highly desirable.
  • Strong written and verbal skills a must in order to interact with a diverse base of individuals, to include executives, technical, professional and office staff members as well as national resources.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person and in writing with all employees, customers and vendors.
  • In-depth knowledge of PC, servers and network operations.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux systems and Microsoft Windows operating, personal computer software set up and installation, and PC connectivity.
  • Ability to think critically and to develop solutions to PACS, RIS-PACS, PACS network and other health systems related issues.
  • Working knowledge of workflows in a radiology operation with particular emphasis on Radiologist workflow.
  • High level of proficiency and demonstrated effectiveness in problem determination and resolution.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and meet work schedules within limited time frames and under tight deadlines and willingness to work additional hours beyond your regular shift as the need arises.
  • Ability/flexibility to travel to/between sites as needed, must possess a valid/unrestricted State Driver's License and proof of insurance.
