Responsibilities of the production assembly worker:
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine material and component specifications
- Accurately cut, fit, and assemble parts
- Follow verbal instructions and technical drawings
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools
- Perform heavy lifting as part of daily duties
- Work with materials such as PVC, copper, and stainless steel
- Test equipment and systems for proper functionality
- Assist in preparing assembled systems for shipment
Qualifications of the production assembly worker:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1-2 years of mechanical or electrical assembly
- Ability to measure accurately and basic math skills
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more occasionally
- Understanding and following blueprints
- Proficient in the use of hand and power tools
- Pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
