Summary We are seeking an experienced and motivated professional to join the Events Team. This individual will plan and execute Firm events, from pre-event conception through post-event process. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Plan and execute key events such as practice group receptions, client dinners and seminars, alumni events and other S&C-hosted gatherings. • Assist with the project management of events including site selection, menu selection, design of invitation, RSVPs, list management, onsite staffing, transportation and follow-up. • Collaborate with vendors, team members and key stakeholders on the planning of Firm events. • Communicate event timelines, scheduling and logistics with key stakeholders. In addition, responsibilities related to maintaining Firm and client information are to be adhered to by all employees. This includes complying with the Firm's information security policies, protecting Firm assets from unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, destruction or interference, and reporting security events or potential events or other security risks to management. Qualifications • Strong project management, organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills • Knowledge of NY Venues and Vendors preferred • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Energetic, detailed person with a professional service-oriented demeanor • Ability to work effectively with lawyers, staff and vendors at all professional levels to implement successful events • Ability to work independently, meet multiple deadlines and respond well to change • Willingness to travel to domestic locations to assist with Firm events and work overtime as needed. Education and/or Experience • Bachelor's degree required. Three years of event planning experience. Compensation The base salary range offered for this role will be between $65,000 and $75,000. When determining a candidate's compensation offer, elements unique to each person are taken into consideration including but not limited to skill set, experience level, performance, professional certifications, degrees and location, as well as the needs of the Firm. The total compensation package for this position may include overtime pay, discretionary bonuses and other benefits.
