Trustar Bank has a fantastic opportunity for an Accounts Payable Assistant to join our growing team. This position will be responsible for accounts payable activities of the Bank. The Accounts Payable Specialist will be a member of the Accounting and Finance team and have exposure to all areas of accounting & finance for the Bank with a primary focus on AP. The Accounts Payable Assistant will follow all established policies and procedures of the Bank. Summary of Job Duties:

• Primarily responsible for daily AP processing.
• Accounts Payable Reconciliations.
• Creates Journal Entries and assists with posting process.
• Performs general accounting functions; monitors, reviews and verifies accounting records and transactions for accuracy, timeliness, and adequacy of supporting documentation.
• Maintains accounting records, reports, and files in an organized manner.
• Assists with monthly close activities.
• Assists with internal and external auditor requests.
• Assist with State and Federal Examiner requests.
• Ensures compliance with internal policies and generally accepted accounting principles.
• Assigned special projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree, in Accounting or other relevant area.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in General Accounting, banking experience preferred.
• Experience with processing accounts payables and account reconciliations.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
