What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like: As a Warehouse Associate, you'll be crucial in making sure freight moves efficiently and safely. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with all shipping and receiving activities, including unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, and distributing orders.
- Reading customer orders, work orders, and requisitions to prepare and move items for distribution.
- Ensuring the warehouse is accessible and safe for all traffic.
- Adhering to all safety policies and procedures to maintain a secure work environment.
- Assembling products and participating in inventory counts as needed.
- Taking check calls from drivers to ensure on-time deliveries and validating load data for accounting.
- Monitoring daily pickups and deliveries, verifying that loads have arrived on time and in good condition.
What You'll Need to Excel: - Basic written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- The ability to apply critical thinking to follow instructions, whether written, verbal, or diagrammed.
- Physical capability: Must be able to lift, push, or pull at least 75 pounds and proficiently load and unload trucks.
It'd Be Great If You Also Have: - Dock or warehouse experience in the transportation industry.
- Experience loading and unloading trailers.
- Experience using handheld scanners.
