Job DetailsDivision: Nucor Steel West Virginia LLCLocation: Apple Grove, WV, United States Other Available Locations: N/ABasic Job Functions:The Plant Engineer will be responsible for our document control system. During the construction process, this entails the development, implementation, and the maintenance of the system and files such as drawings, manuals, and model files. Additionally, quality control processes to ensure all drawings meet standards and project requirements will need to be developed and implemented.The plant engineer will work close with project managers, engineers, other team members, and equipment manufactures to execute drawing control during construction. Key responsibilities after construction will include review and accuracy of new or modified drawings, manage the process of linking the drawing systems to other enterprises like warehouse inventory, purchasing system, and preventative maintenance tracking system.Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.Minimum Qualifications:Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar drawing softwareFour year Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent industrial experiencePreferred Qualifications:Experience with drawing control processes and software.Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.Strong communication skills and teh ability to work well within a team.Problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.Familarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
