Description of WorkPosition is funded in part through federal funds.This position is located in the Wilmington Unit Office. The primary purpose of this position is to provide rehabilitation services to eligible consumers that have disabilities to enable them to obtain and/or maintain competitive employment. This position has been very active and receives a lot of referrals each month. Services are provided according to State, Federal and Agency policies and guidelines. This position makes independent casework decisions that do not require approval, except for those decisions designated in policy that require Unit Manager, Chief of Policy or other designated approvals.This position is also responsible for providing guidance and instruction to designated counselors concerning casework issues, as well as approving casework for assigned rehabilitation counselor staff. This position also monitors designated caseloads outcome goals/budgets and assists with their overall program management. Caseload assignment for casework approval will be at the discretion of the Unit Manager and based on Unit need.Job Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited ToAccountable for the design and implementation of a comprehensive plan of vocational rehabilitation services for persons with disabilities.Evaluate diagnostic data to determine eligibility and needed services.Develop a written plan of services in conjunction with the consumer.Provide supportive counseling; monitor the consumer's progress; and work directly with community partners in order to enhance employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities.About Division of Employment and Independence for People with Disabilities (EIPD):The DHHS Division of Employment and Independence for People with Disabilities (EIPD) promotes employment and independence for people with disabilities through customer partnership and community leadership.
