Psych RN Akron, OHShift: Night Shift, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (36 hours/week)Weekly Gross: $2124Job Description:We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Gero-Psych unit in Akron, OH. This unit primarily serves patients aged 60 and older experiencing dementia, depression, or suicidal ideation. The ideal candidate will be skilled in managing behavioral health conditions in geriatric populations, while also being adaptable to assist on Med/Surg units when needed. This role requires critical thinking, emotional resilience, and a strong focus on patient safety.Unit Overview:

• 16 private room inpatient unit
• Typical patient ratio is 1:6 to 1:7
• Float as needed within scope of practice (including Med/Surg “helping hands”)
• Focus on dementia, depression, and psychiatric care for aging adults

Requirements:

• Active RN license in the state of Ohio
• BLS and CPI (Non-Crisis Intervention) certifications required
• Ability to draw blood and manage IVs
• Previous psychiatric or geriatric nursing experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal and de-escalation skills
• EPIC experience
