Malone Healthcare - Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Papillion, Nebraska.
Job Description & Requirements*2 YEARS EXP IN ER REQUIRED ***we are looking for staff that would be willing to cross train to cover charge occasionally. It is not a heavy volume department on the night shift * * RN's - Pass/Fail exam on Friday during orientation. OPEN BOOK exam on skills learned - they are given all necessary resources to pass. Must receive a 90% to pass or they will be terminated * * Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity. **Driver's license required at submittal and will be used to determine if candidate is outside 50 miles.** Department: ER *Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, NRP, PALS, TNCC, HSS Team (workplace violence training)* - Certified stroke center - # of Beds/Trauma Bays: 21 - Ratios: 1:04 - Common diagnoses/Types of patients: all ages, chest pain, abdominal pain, cough/congestion, orthopedic injuries, ENT emergencies, sepsis, stroke - Common drips: Antibiotics, narcotics, anti-emetics, vaccines, emergency medications - Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment? Yes - Shifts & Scheduling: 12 hours shifts, 7a-7p, 11a-11p, 3p-3a, 7p-7a, ED leadership will create the schedule based on needs - Weekend Requirements: Every other - Holiday Requirements: Yes - How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: 2 shifts - Additional Notes: This is a smaller ER with less specialty resources, will transfer patients out as needed, Attributes that help a nurse be successful in this unit include being a kind and compassionate caregiver, team work, high energy, compassionate, positivity, and a can-do attitude Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.
