Job Description: Pharmacist Outpatient
Location: Owings Mills, MD 21117
Shift: Day Shift (5x8 hours, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Pay Rate: $75 - $ 77 per hour On W2
Overview : We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist (Outpatient) with experience in home infusion to join the team at Nation's Infusion at Home. This is a remote pharmacy role focusing on home health infusion services. The pharmacist will work in a professional office environment, primarily via phone, with no direct patient contact.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and prepare intravenous medications including antibiotics, chemotherapy, and total parenteral nutrition (TPN).
- Utilize sterile technique and compounding pharmacy skills to ensure safe and effective medication preparation.
- Utilize McKesson medication dispensing systems effectively.
- Provide pharmacy services within the scope of home health infusion care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support patient care.
- Adhere to all facility policies including PPE and business casual dress code.
- Participate in virtual training modules as required.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education & Licensure:
- PharmD degree required.
- Valid Maryland or Compact State pharmacy license required at submission.
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of pharmacy experience required.
- Previous home infusion experience is mandatory.
- Experience with compounding pharmacy required.
- Experience with McKesson medication dispensing systems preferred.
- Certifications:
- CPR certification required.
- Skills:
- Intravenous preparation.
- Knowledge of antibiotics, chemotherapy, compounding, mixers for TPN, sterile technique.
- Other Requirements:
- Must be able to float within hospital departments, excluding Cancer Center and Cath Lab.
- Business casual dress code (scrubs acceptable but not provided).
- Able to complete virtual training modules on the first day and annually thereafter.
- References:
- 3 professional references required.
Additional Details
- Patient Age Groups: Neonates, Infants, Adolescents, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics.
- Daily census: 1-5 patients.
