The Security Officer performs general security work in the protection of person, property, and the enforcement of all applicable policies, rules, and regulations of the department, Hospital, and any applicable federal, state, or local laws to prevent losses due to accident and incidents. What you will do:Provides for the safety and security of all persons and property for patients, visitors, and colleagues on hospital campus. Assists staff and others with argumentative, belligerent and combative individuals, especially where there is imminent danger to staff, physicians, patients and/or visitors. If circumstances dictate, potentially participates as a member of a Restraint Team as directed by a member of the medical or nursing staff. Patrols assigned areas of the facilities and grounds on foot or car according to established schedule and investigate unusual occurrences.
