Produce complete controls solutions and electrical design packages based on project specifications and standardized design practices used within OCS Technology Automation Development Group. Key Responsibilities Work with mechanical designers during mechanical design process to design a control system that will enable the machine to perform its intended function safely and reliably. Formulate and produce complete electrical design package, which includes detailed schematics, panel layouts, bills of materials and material requisition forms, based on Corning OCS Technology Automation Development Group standard specifications and the project requirements. Work with other members of the Controls Engineering Department and other groups to continuously improve methods of integrating controls technology, with the goals being enhanced safety, enhanced functionality, and reduced cost; and that labor budgets and material budgets are adhered to or improved upon.
