Job Description :

The Dock & Door Program Manager is responsible for developing, program building, and project managing the Dock & Door division at Bailey. They will manage assigned direct reports and collaborate with other company leaders and departments, including the sales team, customer support, and branch service management. This is an intrapreneurial role that involves business development, project management, administration, and process improvement, and will require travel. Given this person's skillset, some project management of other company efforts and initiatives may be required at times. The Dock Solutions Program Manager reports directly to the Operations Director.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with other stakeholders to define strategy for Bailey's Dock Solutions division, including solution prioritization, partner strategy, and operational plan.
  • Define the go-to-market and implementation motion for the Bailey's Dock Solutions division.
  • Develop and execute a Dock Solutions technician hiring and training plan, in conjunction with the Dock Solutions trainer, regional managers, HR team, and branch service management.
  • Develop an effective sales training program that encompasses vendor and in-house training.
  • Procure proper tools, vehicles, and supplies for the Bailey Dock Solutions service technician team to be safe, effective, and successful.
  • Effectively manage the budget and P&L for the Dock Solutions division
  • Manage assigned staff, including regional managers, the Dock Solutions trainer, clerks, and techs
  • Drive technician productivity, billing efficiency, and first pass %, while effectively managing WIP and the administrative flow of the program.
  • Project manage service and installation efforts of key Dock Solutions accounts
  • Coordinate and lead Dock Solutions installation projects
  • Develop and manage partnerships and relationships with solutions providers, suppliers, subcontractors, and referral partners
  • Develop new Dock Solutions business in conjunction with the sales and service teams
  • Sell, execute, and/or project manage Dock Solutions projects, services, and products, ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Support the Sales team in hitting related market share and revenue targets
  • Work with Marketing to build awareness and generate leads for Dock Solutions; lead pricing and promotion of Dock Solutions products and services
  • Collaborate with Finance and IT to develop reporting and software, as well as strong back office support for the Dock Solutions program
  • Project manage other initiatives and projects (construction, integrations, etc.), and handle additional tasks and responsibilities, as assigned

    Education/Training/Experience:

    • College Degree, with degree in business management or engineering preferred
    • MBA (preferred)
    • 5+ years of experience in dock and door, service operations, construction, program management, industrial engineering, or project management
    • 2+ years in general, project, or program management
    • Technical or mechanical background (preferred)

    Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

    • Auto-CAD (preferred)
    • Knowledge of dock and door, material handling equipment, construction, and/or warehouse optimization
    • Great communication skills (written and verbal)
    • Proven project management skills
    • Strong PowerPoint and Excel capabilities
    • Outstanding research and analytical abilities
