Delivery Manager – Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) | Supply Chain Technology
Optomi, in partnership with a leader within the entertainment industry, is seeking an experienced Delivery Manager to lead and drive the successful execution of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) delivery initiatives, and broader Supply Chain systems. This role requires a strategic leader who can align business objectives with technical delivery, manage complex interdependencies, and ensure the seamless flow of information across connected systems.
As a key member of the Supply Chain Technology team, you will oversee the delivery of WMS capabilities, coordinate with business and technical leaders, and ensure that all project initiatives are executed with precision, efficiency, and alignment to enterprise strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the end-to-end delivery of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)projects, with a preference for Blue Yonder WMS (BY WMS) implementations.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical leads, vendors, and implementation partners to define and execute Delivery roadmaps.
- Drive delivery strategy and optimization efforts across Supply Chain projects, spanning multiple lines of business.
- Identify WMS capability gaps, define delivery milestones, and manage project interdependencies to ensure on-time and in-scope execution.
- Oversee data integration efforts to enable seamless information flow across connected Supply Chain systems.
- Engage in demand and supply forecasting initiatives leveraging AI/ML solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
- Lead testing strategy discussions, including exposure to automated testing frameworks to ensure robust delivery quality.
- Act as the liaison between development, implementation, and support teams, managing backlog prioritization and ensuring delivery alignment.
- Remove roadblocks and ensure teams maintain forward momentum, partnering closely with project managers on task-level resource management.
- Facilitate effective communication between business and technical teams, ensuring delivery alignment with enterprise technology strategies.
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership and executive stakeholders on delivery status, risks, and mitigation strategies.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Delivery Management experience, overseeing technical project execution.
- 5+ years of WMS delivery expertise, preferably with Blue Yonder WMS (BY WMS) or other WMS platforms.
- 5+ years of technical delivery leadership within Supply Chain environments, specifically in Warehouse Delivery.
- Proven experience managing Supply Chain delivery strategies across multiple business units (e.g., Merchandise, Food & Beverage).
- Strong understanding of Agile practices, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and testing concepts (TDD, automated testing).
- Demonstrated success in leading discussions with senior business and technology leaders, including executive presentations.
- Ability to identify, understand, and drive resolution of complex delivery issues in a matrixed organization.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with a proactive mindset.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
