HealthCare Recruiters International (HCRI) is currently seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN Supervisor for a full-time Day Shift leadership role in Monterey County, CA. This is an ideal opportunity for a confident, hands-on RN leader who can oversee a skilled team, guide process improvement, and still step in clinically when needed. L&D RN Supervisor Schedule (Day Shift):
• Full-time, 4x10s (40 hours/week)
• Typical schedule is Monday through Thursday
• Flexible start and end times
• Some weekend coverage may be required
• Day shift differential may apply (based on schedule)
L&D RN Supervisor Responsibilities:
• Lead a team of 9–10 nurses and OB techs
• Guide staff performance, development, and shift operations
• Support process improvement and best practice implementation
• Oversee education, evaluations, and performance feedback
• Provide corrective action when needed in collaboration w/ leadership
• Step in on the floor in busy shifts with a lead-by-example presence
• Navigate diverse personalities and experience levels
• Partner with the Charge Nurse, CNO, and Director on unit strategy
• Mentor new hires and contribute to policy development
• Participate in hospital committees and quality initiatives
L&D RN Supervisor Requirements:
• California RN license (or ability to obtain)
•Graduate of an accredited nursing program
•2+ years of acute care L&D RN experience
•1+ year of leadership or charge nurse experience
•Strong communicator with sound clinical judgment and coaching ability
L&D RN Supervisor Compensation:
• Base hourly: $76.41 – $104.36 (based on education and experience)
• Degree differential pay: $1.20/hr for BSN, $2.40/hr for MSN
• Night differential: $3.00/hr (2:45 PM–12:45 AM)
• Night differential: $4.50/hr (10:45 PM–7:00 AM)
• Weekend differential: $1.25/hr
• Relocation assistance: Up to $10,000 (based on resume address)
• Sign-on bonus: $20,000
