Our client is seeking a QA Supervisor for an full-time/permanent, onsite position.
Position Summary:
As our Quality Assurance Supervisor, you won't just oversee quality checks — you'll be the keystone in aligning production realities with compliance expectations. You'll supervise a hands-on QA team while navigating between Production, R&D, and Sales with tact, urgency, and professionalism. You'll be expected to own the implementation and continuous improvement of food safety systems, while also being the go-to internal SME for mock recalls, microbiological planning, and audit readiness.
Daily Expectations:
- Provide real-time floor coverage during start-up, pre-op, and first-pack QA checks.
- Lead daily QA huddles and log deviations/trends for weekly reporting.
- Review and sign off on CCP and sanitation logs daily — not just for compliance, but for actual quality intelligence.
- Rotate between zones (processing, packing, shipping) to ensure quality systems are upheld consistently.
- Collaborate with Maintenance and Sanitation on root cause analysis during post-cleaning swab failures.
- Conduct post-production record review daily, aiming for zero backlog.
Quarterly/Project-Based Deliverables:
- Coordinate and lead at least one full mock recall and traceability drill per quarter.
- Reassess sanitation verification swabbing program and update sampling points annually.
- Update Product Information Books and maintain alignment with EZ Label nutritional data.
- Lead cross-functional audit prep dry runs before every third-party or USDA audit window.
- Propose and pilot one process improvement or digital documentation tool each quarter.
Key Metrics of Success:
- Zero critical audit findings across internal, third-party, and USDA inspections.
- 100% documentation compliance with HACCP, GMP, and traceability standards.
