Our client is an admired private country club in the Greater New Haven area known for it's remarkable championship golf course and a beautifully appointed wedding and special event venue. They are seeking a dynamic, experienced and professional General Manager who will enhance and improve the overall operations and member experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership in the day-to-day operations of the Club, ensuring a seamless and exceptional member experience.
- Collaborate with department heads to optimize facility maintenance, golf course conditions, and clubhouse services.Implement and enforce policies, procedures, and standards to maintain a high level of service and professionalism.
- Foster positive relationships with club members, understanding their needs and preferences to enhance their overall satisfaction.
- Organize and oversee member events, tournaments, and social activities to promote a sense of community and camaraderie.
- Develop and manage the club's annual budget, ensuring financial stability and adherence to financial goals.Implement cost control measures and revenue-generating strategies to maximize profitability.
- Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to maintain accurate financial records and reporting.
- Oversee the maintenance of the golf course, clubhouse, and other amenities to ensure they meet the highest standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Proven track record of successful management at a golf course, private club, or similar establishment.
- Leadership experience in overseeing golf operations, member services, and facility management.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and financial reporting.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
- Membership-based club experience is highly desirable.
