Key Responsibilities
Investment Evaluation & Deal Support
- Lead underwriting and financial modeling for potential investments and capital events
- Provide scenario analysis and sensitivity testing across various risk profiles
- Prepare materials to support investment memos and internal approvals
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support due diligence, development, and operating decisions
Portfolio Analysis & Asset Management
- Maintain and enhance asset-level financial models to monitor performance
- Analyze variance to budget, operating metrics, and capital events
- Assess disposition strategies and liquidity scenarios
- Participate in quarterly and annual valuation reviews
Strategic Modeling & Research
- Conduct ad-hoc financial modeling to evaluate business plan changes or strategic pivots
- Develop analytical tools that inform capital planning and decision-making
- Stay informed on market trends through research platforms and data sources
- Support broader business strategy through data-driven insights
Candidate Profile
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, real estate, or a related quantitative discipline
- Advanced degree or progress toward a CFA, CAIA, or similar credential is a plus
- 4+ years of experience in real estate private equity, investment analysis, or related field
- Proficiency in Excel-based modeling, including DCF, IRR, and promote structures
- Familiarity with platforms such as Argus, CoStar, or STR
- Strong knowledge of financial statements and accounting fundamentals
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Analytical thinker who can synthesize findings into actionable insights
- Interest in leveraging AI or business intelligence tools for improved decision-making
