Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of mechanical components and systems using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Work independently to manage design projects from concept through implementation with minimal supervision.
- Provide technical guidance and design recommendations to support project teams.
- Prepare detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for manufacturing and assembly.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet performance, safety, and cost requirements.
- Review and approve mechanical designs, ensuring adherence to company standards and industry best practices.
- Conduct design reviews, identify potential improvements, and implement solutions.
- Support project implementation, including vendor coordination and oversight of prototype builds.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical design challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure all design work complies with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Ability to read and understand designs and schematics
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
