Title: Inventory Analyst
Location: Seguin, TX
Details: 12-month contract with ongoing need, opportunity for direct hire, fully onsite position
Pay Rate: $22.00 – 25.00/hr. with benefit inclusions
Job Summary
This position collaborates with suppliers to ensure execution to planned orders and schedules and resolves issues with suppliers to ensure material availability for facility production. The incumbent works with the facility production schedulers and operations personnel to support facility production and point of use material availability. Ensures alignment of facility inventory accuracy and inventory systems planning parameters with the plan for every part to maintain planning integrity.
Responsibilities
- Ensure timely delivery of materials to the facility.
- Collaborate with suppliers to coordinate deliveries, shipping schedules, and work schedules to meet facility production plans.
- Use supplier collaboration technologies to plan delivery of material for production.
- Perform root cause corrective actions to resolve quality and supplier performance issues.
- Plan for alternate manufacturing methods when necessary.
- Analyze parts schedules and production requirements.
- Requisition materials, regulate inventory levels, and issue work orders.
- Manage supplier scheduling and implement engineering changes.
- Monitor and track supplier performance metrics.
- Improve point of use material availability using root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Provide Material Planning expertise to improve demand variability and forecast credibility.
Education & Experience
- Associate's, Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain and/or Logistics Management or Industrial Engineering is required.
- 5 or more years of related experience.
Technical Skills (Required)
- Microsoft Office (Excel)
- MRP experience
- General knowledge of production scheduling and capacity management
Technical Skills (Desired)
- Knowledge and/or experience in material control, purchasing, parts distribution, inventory control, manufacturing engineering, operations, and transportation or logistics
- Ability to use and troubleshoot the MRP, Lognet, and MTS systems
