Junior DevOps Engineer

Location: Hybrid (3 days onsite – Cleveland, OH)

6 month contract to hire

About the Role

As a Junior DevOps Engineer, you will support DevOps processes that enhance software delivery speed and reliability. This entry-level role is designed for individuals with up to 2 years of experience, eager to learn, innovate, and contribute to maintaining and improving automation-driven web solutions in a global environment.

You will work closely with senior engineers to configure, implement automation, and support application deployments. This role is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with cloud environments, container orchestration, and continuous integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in automation, deployment, and cloud-based application support.
• Troubleshoot application, network, and infrastructure issues.
• Maintain Linux systems, containers (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Support security compliance, monitoring, and system performance tuning.
• Document configurations, deployments, and best practices.
• Participate in 24x7 production support (as needed).

Qualifications & Skills

Required:

• 1+ years IT experience.
• Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with Linux, automation tools, scripting (Ruby, Puppet, Chef, Jenkins, GitHub)
• Understanding of networking (DNS, TCP/IP) and containerization.
• Analytical and problem solving skills

Preferred:

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
• Exposure to security tools (SAST, DAST, WAF) and Agile practices.
