SUMMARY
The Director of Planning and Analysis performs analytical tasks in support of Grand Sierra Resort. This position provides detailed, analytical evaluations of complex and gaming theories and revenue management. The Director of Planning and Analysis performs in depth factual data compilation and analysis, including fact finding and document reviews. Assignments require in-depth research, detailed and logical analysis of issues, and clear and persuasive writing. The positon will also provide support to the VP of Finance and will accomplish all projects distributed. This role is critical for the GSR's success in forecasting, budgeting, and Daily Operating Reporting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Participate in the weekly strategy meeting to identify and provide analysis for the key strategic initiatives as they relate to direct marketing, hotel yield, casino promotions etc.
· Work closely with the Executive Management Team in ensuring that analysis is comprehensive and cohesive.
· Take responsibility for the property-wide data dissemination process using a Business Intelligence tool.
· Supervise a team of financial and labor analysts in terms of task allocation, deadlines, motivation and training
· Provide routine practical recommendations to increase casino traffic.
· Responsible for the companies Forecasting, Budgeting, and Daily Operating Reporting
· Provide Ad-Hoc reporting for all levels of Management and Ownership.
· Any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
§ Strong knowledge in analytics, casino accounting, and database extrapolation.
· Proactive and works well under pressure in a fast paced environment.
· Outstanding coordination and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
· Competent knowledge of SQL, Visual Basic for Applications, and Statistics.
· Able to build accurate and automated financial models.

· While performing the duties of this job, the team member is constantly sitting and occasionally standing and walking during the duration of their shift.
