Job Description
- Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Surveillance Department. Ensures compliance with all gaming regulations and Company policies. Serve as a liaison between the property and gaming commission. Supervise and direct activities of surveillance staff engaged in observing gaming and non-gaming activities throughout the property.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal control requirements
- Immediately respond to any suspicious or unusual activities that may violate gaming regulations.
- Responsible for the hiring, training, firing, disciplinary counseling and overall management of surveillance team members.
- Oversee and coordinate department activities to achieve maximum operational efficiency and productivity.
- Conduct training and testing of all gaming areas to ensure regulations, internal controls and policies and procedures are met.
- Prepare regular reports of business activities, issues and concerns.
- Ensure confidentiality is maintained in the department.
- Cooperate and assist with departmental and law enforcement agency investigations.
- Prepare and maintain for management the Surveillance Department Strategic Plan and provide management with regular updates on plan activities.
- Maintains inter department relationships to ensure Surveillance is facilitating operational requests within the property in an effective manner.
- Researches and integrates industry best practices based on evolving business conditions to ensure compliance is met with all related regulations and policies
- Responsible for overseeing surveillance inventory.
- Responsible for planning, implementation and ongoing maintenance of updated surveillance system to include conversion from tape media to digital format.
- Responsible for preparation and maintenance of departmental budget.
- Other related projects and/or duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- At least five (5) years surveillance experience and previous surveillance supervisory experienced preferred.
- Possess a thorough knowledge of all table games rules, procedures, and gaming regulations.
- Working knowledge of surveillance software and Microsoft Office programs.
- Knowledge of surveillance equipment and systems such as handheld radios and video recording equipment.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses as required by local gaming regulations.
