Controls Engineer | Program PLCs

Seeking a highly experienced and self-driven Controls Engineer to lead and execute automation and controls projects from concept through completion. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience, with a proven ability to program PLCs from scratch, develop and integrate HMI systems, and successfully manage the execution of automation projects in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

This role requires both technical expertise and project management skills to design, implement, and optimize control systems that support production, safety, and operational efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in controls or automation engineering within a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Strong experience with PLC programming from scratch (e.g., Allen Bradley Studio 5000, Siemens TIA Portal, etc.)
• Proficient in HMI and SCADA systems design and configuration
• Solid project management skills with experience leading automation projects independently
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (Ethernet | IP, Profinet, Modbus, etc.)
• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
