Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership & Vision
- Lead strategic distribution initiatives aligned with company growth.
- Optimize cost and service levels across company-owned distribution centers.
- Scale operations to support geographic and volume expansion.
Labor & Cost Optimization
- Drive labor and cost efficiencies through strategic management.
- Lead change management initiatives to support continuous improvement.
Operational & Technical Expertise
- Manage large-scale distribution networks, including warehousing, transportation, and inventory.
- Utilize WMS, TMS, LMS, and other supply chain systems (Manhattan experience a plus).
- Apply Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies to improve KPIs and processes.
Industry Knowledge
- Stay current on distribution trends, technologies, and compliance standards.
- Navigate various distribution models (DTC, B2B, omnichannel).
Vendor & Partner Management
- Oversee vendor relationships and negotiate SLAs.
- Collaborate with third-party providers to integrate logistics technologies.
Project & Change Management
- Lead major distribution projects (e.g., system upgrades, network redesigns).
- Manage ramp-ups for seasonal peaks, product launches, and expansions.
Financial Acumen
- Analyze financial performance and implement cost-saving strategies.
- Develop budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics.
Team Development & Collaboration
- Build and lead high-performing distribution teams.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with leadership and business units.
Risk Management & Problem Solving
- Identify and mitigate operational risks.
- Solve complex distribution challenges using data-driven decision-making.
Facility Management
- Oversee large-scale facility operations and ensure compliance and safety.
- Optimize space utilization and workflow efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field (Master's preferred).
- 10+ years in distribution/logistics, with 5+ years in leadership.
- Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in supply chain systems and process improvement certifications (Lean, Six Sigma).
