Registered Nurse Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (RN CVICU)Location: Albany, NY Duration: 4 Weeks with possible extension Pay Range: $70 $75/hr Travel and per diem packages offered based on eligibility

• Work Hours: 36 hours per week

• Shift Timing: 7:00 PM 7:30 AM

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Travel CVICU Registered Nurse with experience caring for immediate postoperative cardiac and vascular surgery patients. This position demands expertise in advanced hemodynamic monitoring and critical care for high-acuity cardiovascular patients in a Level I Trauma Center. Candidates must have recent Epic EMR experience and will be required to complete a competency test within 24 hours of submission.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide critical care to post-cardiac and vascular surgery patients in the CVICU

• Monitor and manage ventilators, arterial lines (A-lines), spinal drains, and temporary pacemakers

• Interpret and act on ECG and hemodynamic data

• Administer and titrate vasoactive and inotropic drips per protocol

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary ICU team to optimize patient outcomes

• Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 2 3 years of staff CVICU experience Required

• Experience in a Level I Trauma Center Required

• Advanced knowledge of post-cardiac surgery critical care

• Proficient in managing:

  • Ventilators

  • A-lines

  • Spinal drains

  • Hemodynamic monitors

  • Temporary pacemakers

  • ECG interpretation

  • Vasoactive & inotropic drips

Licensure & Certifications:

• Active NY RN License Required (no pending licenses accepted)

• BLS (AHA) Required

• ACLS (AHA) Required

• Epic EMR experience Required
