Join us today!We are currently seeking a Distibution Center Manager for our Rincon, Georgia distribution center. The DC Manager manages the overall planning, organizing, and operations of a distribution center. Oversee all distribution functions, including order processing, picking, packaging, shipping, and receiving. Monitors inventory levels to ensure sufficient levels to fulfill all orders. Balances workloads as needed to achieve production and delivery goals. Utilizes WMS software, data, and analytics to optimize operations, track production metrics, and anticipate and resolve problems. Provides the necessary equipment, tools, and training to staff to ensure safe, secure, and efficient operations. Complies with all OSHA and other regulations, policies, safety procedures, and documentation requirements.Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions within the company guidelines of company policies and procedures. Has extensive knowledge of department processes, which will include light automation, transportation practices, to include relationships with carriers, experience with serving D2C customers and reverse logistics dedicated to the efficiency of distribution center operations. This position requires a proactive approach to managing operations, with a focus on continuous improvement and adherence to best practices.ResponsibilitiesSupervisory Responsibilities:

  • Supervising all distribution activities within the Rincon, Georgia Distribution Center to ensure production, inventory management, and shipping/receiving run efficiently and effectively meet client requirements and financial targets.
  • Leading and developing a team of Warehouse Supervisors, Leads, and hourly staff to achieve operational excellence.
  • Establishing, communicating, and maintaining consistent standards for work procedures and productivity.
  • Creating staffing and productivity plans by analyzing forecasts and determining labor needs to ensure optimal resource allocation.
  • Recommending improvements to policies and programs that enhance the organization's competitive position and support growth.
  • Managing shipping and receiving activities to meet deadlines while upholding quality and cost standards.
  • Ensuring all company policies and practices are followed fairly and consistently across the team.
  • Controlling expenses and managing the distribution center's budget to support financial objectives.
  • Driving process improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies to exceed client expectations and strengthen efficiency.
  • Coaching and evaluating staff performance, taking corrective action as needed in coordination with People and Culture management.
  • Maintaining high standards for quality, equipment, and operator performance, and leveraging cost-effective technology to maximize productivity.
  • Safeguarding fixed assets and recommending equipment purchases or facility enhancements as needed.
  • Staying informed about new developments in distribution technology and practices to foster innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Implementing and enforcing comprehensive safety programs to ensure compliance and a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Safeguard HMTX warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring best practices for inventory control and order fulfillment.
  • Formulate and recommend operational objectives for the warehouse and control the results.
  • Performing other related duties as required.
Experiences
  • At least five years of related management experience required.
  • Experience in managing parcel and LTL carriers and shipments.
  • Strong supervisory, team building, and Leadership skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and Attention to detail.
  • An accountable team player, able to work independently in a team environment.
Knowledge
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong logistical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a supply chain and logistics or a related field required.
Working Conditions
  • Schedule: Generally, Monday-Friday, 7:00 am - 5:00 pm EST (some flexibility with start and end times based on office location). Evening, and weekend tasks or calls or work input may be required on occasion due to the nature of the role and subject to business needs.
  • Work Environment: Primarily working indoors in a warehouse environment. Prolonged exposure to seasonal weather conditions may occur.
  • Physical Demands: Walking, lifting, standing. Must be able to lift, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs. Work requires sitting, standing, and/or walking for extended periods, moving and examining objects at various heights, and reading for extended periods. Requires frequent bending, stooping, standing, walking, turning, pivoting, and working in varying temperatures depending on the season.
