This is a remote position. The Patient Service Representative will focus on the processing and resolution of workers compensation and other accident claims. Our Patient Service Representatives work independently and as part of a team comprised of both fellow Knowtion Health coworkers and the Client's staff remotely. Knowtion Health Service Representatives will need outstanding communication skills, strong computer skills and the ability to multitask while working in a fast-paced environment.

The Opportunity:

  • Develop and maintain a professional relationship with…
    • Our clients, acting as a liaison between the hospital and Knowtion Health
    • Hospital related physician offices, ensuring open and mutual communication
    • Insurance payers, encouraging prompt payment
  • Remotely to obtain information, including documents, regarding the entity responsible for payment of patient's hospital bills or claims. The entity may be a commercial or governmental insurance payer, employer or worker's compensation payer.
  • Read and respond to all e-mails and correspondence received in a timely manner
  • Verify and fulfill any attorney requests that are received
  • Complete daily billing activities for new accounts
  • Learn and implement client specific protocols and procedures
  • Updates patient information in the hospital information system and in Knowtion Health workflow management system as required
  • Escalates complex, complicated, or challenging accounts to management to ensure accounts are progressing effectively
  • Various administrative duties with a focus on effectively and consistently recovering revenue for Knowtion Health hospital clients
  • Assists management with ad hoc inventory initiatives and other projects, as assigned
  • Attends company, department, and team meetings

What you bring:

  • Workers' Compensation eligibility verification with insurance carriers, employers, and/or direct patient contact experience
  • Meditech experience preferred
  • Claim submission via hospital clearinghouse (Quadax) experience preferred
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license
