This position is requires an accounting position with both execution and process improvement experience. The Accounting Manager will assist in maintaining their financial health, overseeing the accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and enhancing financial controls. This role will support our overall financial strategy and report directly to the Controller.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including the general ledger, reconciliations, payroll and accounts payable/receivable.
• Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures.
• Prepare financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts, and ensure timely reporting.
• Assist with audit preparations and resolve audit findings.
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce accurate, comprehensive financial reports.
• Develop and manage financial systems and policies.
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, report variances, and prepare financial modeling as needed.
• Mentor and develop a team of accountants.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of proven experience as an Accounting Manager, Controller, or similar role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting and experience with creating financial statements.
• Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
• CPA or CMA preferred.
• Private equity experience preferred
