We believe honest, long-lasting relationships with our guests, employees, neighbors, and our surrounding environment allow us to grow our business.Position SummaryWe are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager to lead all Food and Beverage Operations at the Cedar River Bistro. Reporting directly to the Director of food and beverage, responsibilities for this role include supporting restaurant, bar, banquet facilities, and/or room service. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the quality and standards of our food and beverage offerings, maximizing revenue and profit margins, managing inventory and cost controls, ensuring guest satisfaction, and providing leadership to our F&B professionals. This includes both front and back of the house operations.Position Duties/Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Chef to ensure food quality, menus, and kitchen staff are meeting or exceeding expectations.
  • Develop a comprehensive strategy to increase revenue and establish clear metrics for measuring and reporting results.
  • Oversee the ordering process and monthly inventory of the outlet to ensure operational success and implement best practices for food and beverage controls.
  • Manages the daily operations of the F&B outlet. This includes both front and back of the house staff.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor food quality and presentation.
  • Direct supervision of the Sous Chef and kitchen staff to ensure timely, accurate, high-quality food and beverage service.
  • Recruit, train, and manage all F&B staff at Cedar River Bistro. Upholding culinary standards defined be Chef de Cuisine
  • Set performance standards and conduct regular performance evaluations.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Ensure excellent customer service and guest satisfaction.
  • Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback.
  • Implement service standards and protocols to enhance guest experience.
  • Oversee payroll management to align with business demands, ensuring adherence to budget constraints. Assisting with compliance with all ADP best practices.
  • Occasionally assist with banquet operations at the Cedar Lodge.
  • Other duties as assigned.

To that end, all Shanty Creek employees are required to adhere to Resort policies and standards of conduct while providing our guests with the highest level of service possible. No matter their position, all members of our staff may have opportunities to interact with our guests on a daily basis, therefore all employees must:
  • Meet, on a daily basis, the personal appearance and uniform standards as identified by the Shanty Creek Resorts Employee Handbook.
  • Utilize all tools provided to ensure that prompt and correct service and information is being given to our guests.
  • Always conduct themselves in a professional manner, maintaining the highest standards of guest service in their interactions with fellow employees, vendors, and most importantly our guests.
Professional ExperienceProven experience as a Food and Beverage Manager or similar role in the hospitality industry.EducationA minimum of a High School DiplomaRequired Skills
  • In-depth knowledge of F&B industry trends and best practices.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
  • Degree in Hospitality Management or related field is preferred.
