At Ciena, we're looking for a Quality Management System (QMS) Specialist to elevate our QMS, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies. How You Will Contribute:
As a QMS Specialist, you'll lead the charge in improving and maintaining Ciena's Quality Management System. You'll conduct audits, analyze workflows, and optimize processes to align with business objectives and quality standards. Your expertise will help identify risks, eliminate inefficiencies, and drive corrective actions across the organization.
You'll develop quality metrics, deliver actionable insights, and prepare leadership reports to guide strategic planning. By promoting training programs and fostering awareness, you'll cultivate a culture of quality and continuous improvement. Additionally, you'll collaborate with diverse teams, ensuring alignment of quality objectives with business goals and acting as a trusted advisor for internal and external stakeholders.
The Must Haves:
A four-year degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, Data Analytics, or IT.
3+ years of experience in quality management, regulatory compliance, or process improvement roles.
Strong knowledge of QMS standards (e.g., ISO 9001, TL 9000) and auditing practices.
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in tools like Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams and time zones.
Expertise in quality methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean, and FMEA.
A detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
The Assets:
Industry experience in telecommunications, networking, or technology.
Quality certifications like CQE, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, or similar.
Familiarity with data analysis tools and software.
A collaborative approach to working with diverse cultures, opinions, and time zones.
Pay Range: The salary range for this role in Canada is $70, 100 - $111, 900
The salary range for this role in the USA is $79, 700 - $127, 300
Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business. Please note that the pay range information provided in this posting pertains specifically to the primary location, which is the top location listed in case multiple locations are available.
Non-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission.
