Under the general supervision of the Executive Director of Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S), the Director of Fire Prevention and Occupational Safety leads the Universitys Fire Prevention Division. The Director of Fire Prevention and Occupational Safety oversees Fire & Life Safety, OSHA compliance programs, Construction Review and Inspection efforts, and ensures safety programs are effectively implemented and maintained across both the Hilltop and Capital campuses. This role serves as the University Fire Marshall. Additional duties include, but are not limited to:Lead inspections of academic, administrative, and research spaces to assess and ensure compliance with OSHA general industry standards and Georgetown University policy. Direct the Universitys OSHA safety programs, including but not limited to Lockout/ Tagout (LOTO), confined spaces, and walking/working surfaces.
