Compensation Range: $60,431.00 - $84,603.00

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Responsibilities

General Purpose: Implements, tests, troubleshoots and improves electronic automation and controls systems in manufacturing/production/operations processes to increase production quality, efficiency and volume. Checks control system schematics and specifications and uses software and testing equipment to diagnose and resolve system malfunctions. Develops and defines control system applications for various machinery and equipment using technologies or platforms such as ladder logic programming for programmable logic controllers (PLCs), human machine interfaces (HMIs), data control systems (DCSs), supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA), computerized numerical control (CNC) systems or motion control technology.

Essential Functions:

  • Builds, tests and documents custom cables from a model assembly or schematic diagrams.
  • Tests builds utilizing manual digital multimeter (DMM) techniques and automated cable tester equipment and documents results utilizing Microsoft VISIO and Siemens Teamcenter.
  • Builds, tests and documents custom electronic devices and lab equipment assembly and repair.
  • Fabricates hardware utilizing milling machines, Greenlee punches and drills.
  • Performs wiring of devices, referencing the schematic diagram.
  • Tests utilizing common electrical laboratory equipment such as Oscilloscope and digital multimeter (DMM).
  • Documents results utilizing Microsoft VISIO, Excel, Word Siemens Teamcenter software to archive documentation.
  • Determines proper electrical components, functionality, performance, cost and availability of components. Interacts with vendors and manufacturers of electronic components and electronic test equipment.
  • Performs scheduled preventive maintenance checks, as well as updating maintenance records.
  • Participates in writing and presenting quarterly reports on the systems performance.

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education & Experience:

  • Associate's degree Electrical Engineering or Electronic Technology and 5 years of relevant experience required
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Advanced knowledge of department/specialty required
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Power Point, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Siemens Teamcenter. required
