Our client, a well-established insurance organization, is looking to hire a Medical Billing & Claims Specialist to start right away! Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit medical claims to insurance companies and government payers
- Review, correct, and resubmit denied or rejected claims
- Verify insurance coverage and patient eligibility
- Track payments and follow up on unpaid or underpaid claims
- Work closely with internal departments to resolve billing discrepancies
- Maintain detailed records of all billing and claims activity
- Additional administrative duties as needed and directed
Required Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree or Certification in Medical Billing/Coding or Healthcare Administration
- 1-2 years of experience in medical billing and claims preferred (entry-level candidates with relevant coursework considered)
- Familiarity with insurance guidelines and CPT/ICD-10 codes
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and follow-up abilities
