The Public Safety Dispatcher is the first point of contact for individuals seeking emergency and non-emergency services. Dispatchers will receive initial calls for service and collaborate with responders using two-way radios, telephone, email and online portals to communicate with staff and emergency responders for a solution that best fits department and college policies and procedures. This person will provide customer service by triaging requests and providing the best solution. The Public Safety Dispatcher will document incoming requests, activities performed and dispositions of calls. Other duties may be assigned if deemed necessary by supervisors. This is a part time 0.41 FTE position. An example of the schedule is Friday and Saturday 6 pm to 2 am.
