The Classroom paraeducator provides individualized support to students under the direction of the special education teacher and tutor. The paraeducator assists in implementing behavior intervention plans (BI - Ps) and individualized education programs (IEPs) to support students' academic, social, and emotional growth. Responsibilities: Support classroom instruction by assisting students with learning activities and assignments. Provide assistance with toileting, feeding, and lifting as needed to support students' individual needs. Monitor and assist with students' safety and behavior during classroom activities, transitions, and breaks. Implement teacher-designed accommodations and modifications to meet the needs of diverse learners. Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and school staff to support students' individualized education plans (IEPs) and goals.
