This position is located at:Rocky Mountain Oncology Center 6501 E 2nd St. Casper, WY 82609 The Medical Records Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely management of patient health records in compliance with federal, state, and organizational regulations. Working within a comprehensive cancer center, this position plays a critical role in ensuring continuity of care, supporting clinical workflows, and protecting patient privacy. The specialist collaborates with oncology providers, nurses, and administrative staff to maintain, retrieve, and release medical information efficiently and securely. Responsibilities. Maintain, organize, and retrieve electronic and paper-based medical records in accordance with HIPAA and facility protocols. Process incoming and outgoing medical records requests, including continuity of care, legal, and insurance requests.
