The Production Engineer will be responsible for locating causes of poultry production and layer equipment malfunction, repairing broken parts and engineering preventative maintenance activities for both buildings and equipment. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Develop, coordinate, and monitor all aspects of layer production facility and maintenance. Ensure that all layer production facility machinery, systems, infrastructure, and equipment run optimally with minimal downtime. Investigate and troubleshoot equipment malfunction and make recommendations for improvement. Recommend repairs and/or replace defective equipment and/or parts following malfunction. Clean, maintain, repair, and lubricate production machinery and its parts. Maintain and oversee overall cleanliness and proper functioning of the poultry buildings, tools, and production machinery. Monitor computer systems for all house vitals (water, air, and feed).
