Job Overview:
As a key member of our behavioral health team, you will conduct interviews and assessments for potential admissions, providing compassionate care and support to individuals seeking mental health assistance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide intake and admission services for patients and potential patients, ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Respond promptly to inquiries regarding mental health services, guiding individuals towards the help they need.
- Facilitate the admission of in-patients and out-patients effectively, coordinating necessary transportation and referrals to appropriate care levels.
- Document and maintain accurate records of admissions and communications in line with hospital policies.
- Conduct insurance verifications and obtain prior authorizations as required.
- Maintain a high level of alertness and safety in all interactions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the overall functioning of the team.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Behavioral Health or a related field.
Experience:
- No prior experience is necessary; we welcome new graduates committed to helping others.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift/carry and push/pull objects weighing up to 25 lbs regularly.
- Frequent movement including sitting, standing, walking, reaching, and repetitive motions.
- Strong auditory and visual capabilities to communicate effectively and respond to alarms as needed.
Required Certifications:
Licensure requirements vary by state; candidates should hold appropriate licenses as outlined for Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, or Wisconsin.
