Position Overview

The Benefits Systems Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing the development, implementation, and maintenance of our computerized benefits systems. This position involves close collaboration with vendors, HRIS, ITG, and functional owners, and encompasses testing, training, and troubleshooting across various projects. You will be responsible for managing benefits data, offering systems support, and generating reports for our benefits function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate interactions between the Employee Benefits Team and IT Developers dedicated to Benefits.
  • Serve as the primary contact for benefits vendors and third-party administrators regarding data integration.
  • Conduct training sessions for the Employee Benefits Team on new systems and processes, and successfully transition ownership to the team.
  • Collaborate with functional users to provide thorough analysis, design, development, and testing guidance.
  • Design system specifications and partner with programmers to develop Benefits-related systems (including design, development, testing, and production load).
  • Oversee the testing of systems, data conversion, and the implementation of new systems, along with integration with existing systems.
  • Maintain systems to ensure efficient operations, processing, and report generation.
  • Work with ITG to upgrade systems to adapt to evolving user and organizational requirements.
  • Engage in a functional/technical capacity with a solid understanding of business processes and Oracle Cloud structure.
  • Provide recommendations for budgeting related to the development, implementation, and maintenance of computerized systems, as well as outsourcing efficiencies.
  • Address complex data requests with thorough reporting specifications.
  • Effectively organize, plan, and manage time to complete assignments.
  • This position is based in our Birmingham, AL home office; it is not a remote position.

Qualifications

License or Certification

  • Must obtain Oracle Cloud Certification within one year.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources management, computer science, or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Preferred: Minimum 2 years of experience in Oracle Benefits Administration.
  • Experience with cloud-based HR systems is preferred.
  • Proven ability to analyze, classify, and document business requirements and functional design specifications.
  • Experience with workflow analysis and business process improvement utilizing business modeling tools.
  • Experience designing test strategies, plans, and executing tests, including user acceptance testing and monitoring.
