Position: Scheduling Administrator
What You'll Do (Generalized, please see full job description):
- Coordinate and assign service orders, outage tickets, and field service requests based on staffing and resource availability.
- Serve as a communication hub between internal teams, field personnel, and Cooperative members to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain and update schedules and records for fleet maintenance, including preventive service and repairs.
- Compile and analyze workload data to support construction planning and forecasting.
- Communicate directly with members and contractors to confirm service appointments, provide updates, and ensure satisfaction.
- Assist in planning and scheduling daily work assignments for operations, maintenance, and construction crews.
- Keep internal systems and databases current with construction, engineering, and fleet data.
- Adapt quickly to changes in staffing, equipment, or emergencies, maintaining service continuity.
- Use workplace software tools (e.g., Excel, Outlook) to manage schedules, data, and communications.
- Promote and follow all safety procedures as outlined in the Cooperative Safety Manual.
- Demonstrate a strong member-service mindset, ensuring all interactions reflect professionalism and care.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of Cooperative goals and operational excellence.
What We're Looking For:
- Associate degree required; additional technical coursework or equivalent industry experience may be considered.
- Minimum of two years of experience in the utility industry or a related field.
- Proficiency with standard workplace software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and ability to learn new systems as needed.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and apply technical knowledge in utility operations.
- Solid understanding of electrical systems and distribution line design principles.
- Proven track record of delivering excellent customer or member service with professionalism and responsiveness.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with coworkers, members, and external partners- adapting communication styles to those around them.
- Physically and mentally capable of performing job duties, including occasional lifting (up to 20 lbs), walking, and sitting for extended periods.
- Willingness to work extended hours during peak construction seasons or outage events, with occasional overnight travel for training or conferences.
- Positive, cooperative attitude with strong interpersonal skills and a member-focused mindset.
- Commitment to safety, accuracy, and continuous improvement in support of the Cooperative's mission.
