Project Manager- Site Development- Austin, TexasWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail oriented Civil Engineer with 5+ years of experience to join our Civil/Site Development group in our Austin, TX office as a Project Manager. You will serve a key role in assisting andleading the Civil/Site team. The team provides site design and construction documents for a wide variety of commercial, industrial, municipal, and residential developments including mixed use, office, retail, multi and single family residential, warehouse/distribution, medical, and recreational facilities.What you will do:• Plan, schedule, budget, assign, supervise and motivate the work or project team members• Provide management of site engineering plans to include site plan layouts, site grading, storm drainage, water, utility, street and sanitary sewer design, and erosion control plans.• Provide oversight and quality control reviews for calculations, design drawings, and specifications for civil/site projects.• Provide oversight and quality control reviews for collection and analysis of field data.• Prepare written studies and project design technical reports.• Attend meetings with clients to deliver information and project status updates.• Professionally represent client issues at meetings and conferences with project stakeholders• Oversight of construction observation activities• Coach and mentor younger staff• Lead project team to coordinate with utility providers, contractors, and permitting authorities.• Assist in project pursuits and proposal preparation.• Other duties as assigned.Qualifications• BS in Civil Engineering or closely related engineering degree• Texas Licensed Professional Engineer or ability to obtain licensure.• 5+ years of progressive design experience in civil engineering with a concentration in land development• Adept at working on fast-paced projects.• Proficiencey in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bluebeam, Microsoft Word and Excel software required.• Knowledge of local city, county, state and federal design regulations as well as industry practices and regulations• Deep understanding of the land development planning and entitlement processes• Experience using HEC-HMS and StormCAD or other modeling preferred.• Possess effective communication skills, both written and oral• Must be able to work effectively both on a team and individually.• Self-starter with the ability to manage, motivate, mentor and lead others• Active participation in professional organizations• Desire to seek out new business opportunities while maintaining project workloadTravel:Some local day and overnight travel may be necessary for this position.It's more than just a job...At GBA, we are innovative people who want to solve problems.
