What You'll Do
- Lead and manage your own structural engineering projects (federally funded)
- Supervise a team of structural engineers and designers
- Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, clients, and contractors
- Oversee design of structural systems across materials and codes (IBC, ASCE, ACI, UFC, etc.)
- Participate in field surveys, evaluate existing buildings, and write technical reports
- Review construction documents and support contractors during construction
- Manage budgets, track staff hours, and contribute to proposals
- Review and mentor the work of junior engineers
What We're Looking ForRequired:
- Bachelor's Degree in Structural, Civil, or Architectural Engineering
- PE or SE License
- 10+ years of structural engineering experience, with 4+ years of project management
- Authorization to work in the U.S. now and in the future (no sponsorship)
- Excellent communication, organization, and team leadership skills
Preferred:
- Master's Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
- Familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, RAM, Tekla, MathCAD, or Tedds
- Experience with Deltek Ajera
- Ability to obtain a Secret or Top Secret clearance

Location & Schedule
- Office location: Alexandria, VA 22312 (near Springfield/Washington, DC)
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, flexible 40-hour schedule
- Work from Home: 1 day/week after 90 days
- Travel: Occasional domestic/international travel (e.g., Tokyo!)
